The Pop-Up Project is delighted to feature the work of Rachel Moodie, a Southern Highlands-based artist, designer, and creative powerhouse. Rachel’s artistic practice spans a wide range of disciplines, from painting and collage to teaching, writing, curating, and design. Her ability to juggle these creative ventures is matched by her passion for fostering artistic communities and inspiring creativity in others.
With a rich background in graphic and web design, arts marketing, gallery management, curation, illustration agency management, and event coordination, Rachel brings a wealth of experience to her work.
Since 2007, she has exhibited her predominantly mixed media and collage artworks both locally and interstate, earning recognition for her unique and vibrant style.

In 2017, Rachel released her book, The Artful Mum, a heartfelt exploration of motherhood and creativity. The book features a series of interviews with artist mothers, shining a light on the intersection of artistry and parenting.
Rachel’s creativity extends to the airwaves with her podcast, Casting the Inner Critic. Joined by her inner critic, humorously named Gertrude, Rachel takes a lighthearted yet insightful approach to discussing the challenges and triumphs of the creative process.
Passionate about community and connection, Rachel has launched creative initiatives such as Cake & Create, a series of creativity workshops with cake, and school holiday art workshops for kids. These ventures exemplify her dedication to making art accessible and enjoyable for all.
Rachel Moodie’s ability to combine her many creative talents with a love for community and collaboration makes her an inspiring artist and a valued member of The Pop-Up Project’s artistic community.
