Centennial Vineyards, 252 Centennial Road, Bowral
10am – 4pm daily
This autumn, Centennial Vineyards hosts a stunning showcase of ceramics by Tessa Hoser and paintings by Jan Pooley-Hibberd. Together, their work captures the beauty of native flora and dramatic Southern Highlands skies – an uplifting celebration of nature, creativity and local talent.
Tessa is an Australian potter producing wheel-thrown and handbuilt forms. Her work explores the contrast between textures, colours and apparently perfect and imperfect forms.
Tessa is influenced by her environment: green, misty farmland, lichen, mosses, rich red and black soils and rainforest tumbling to the coast, on Gundungurra country near Robertson, NSW.
Her work is held in private collections in the US, UK and Australia and she has exhibited in Canberra, Sydney and Yass. Most recently she was selected to participate in the 2024 Pottery Expo, Warrandyte. She was awarded the Craft ACT 2021 Emerging Artist Award.
The Pop-Up Project was established in 2021, when a group of Southern Highlands artists wanted the opportunity to open their studios, share their story, build their brand and connect with new art lovers and collectors all year round.
We currently represent 32 artists – we hope you enjoy meandering through each of their profiles and map out where you would like to visit each June long weekend. Can’t wait? Feel free to contact each artist directly to organise a private appointment. 17 of our artists will open this November as part of the Southern Highlands Art Trail too!
