The Southern Highlands Arts Trail is just around the corner and there’s no better way to get inspired than by hearing directly from our artists in their own creative spaces. Recently, we stepped into the studio of Louisa de Haas, whose vibrant works and warm insights give you a glimpse of what makes the Arts Trail such a unique experience.
Don’t miss Louisa’s interview – it’s the perfect preview of the creativity, connection, and behind-the-scenes magic you’ll discover when you visit studios across the Highlands this November.
Planning your Southern Highlands Arts Trail visit is easy: follow the official map (you can pick up a hard copy from Destination Southern Highlands NOW and each of our Studios will have a copy).
To see every studio at a glance, browse our Online Magazine for highlights, demo times, access notes and suggested loops, then tap the Google Map links on each listing for turn-by-turn directions. Save your favourites, build a custom route, check travel times between studios and share your plan with the crew, perfect for a relaxed day of art, coffee stops and country backroads.
For Southern Highlands – based artist Natalie Will, art is more than a creative pursuit – it’s a way of connecting people through stories. Working across acrylic and watercolour painting, collage, mixed media and even sculptural forms, Natalie embraces both the playful and the political in her practice. Her works invite audiences to reflect, laugh, question and sometimes even sit in discomfort – all in the name of dialogue and connection.
Natalie is participating in the Southern Highlands Arts Trail, Studio number 15 – Corinne Dany Studios at 4/8 Davy Street, Mittagong.
The Pop-Up Project was established in 2021, when a group of Southern Highlands artists wanted the opportunity to open their studios, share their story, build their brand and connect with new art lovers and collectors all year round.
We currently represent 32 artists – we hope you enjoy meandering through each of their profiles and map out where you would like to visit each June long weekend. Can’t wait? Feel free to contact each artist directly to organise a private appointment. 17 of our artists will open this November as part of the Southern Highlands Art Trail too!
