This is the inaugural Angels In Our Town Art Prize which will be fondly called “The Angel”. 

Angels in Our Town is a cultural community event acknowledging and celebrating our first responders, volunteers and service organisations — the Angels in our Town. Held in the towns and villages of the Southern Highlands.

Angels In Our Town Inaugural Art Prize Now Open for Pop-Up Members

The Angels On Our Town Art Prize is a non-acquisitive art prize awarded by Angels In Our Town (AIOT) in partnership with The Pop-Up Project.

All finalists’ works will be for sale and a minimum of 30% commission donation will go towards supporting the work of AIOT, supporting and recognising first responders and volunteers in our community.

Calling all artists! The Angels In Our Town Art Prize has officially launched, and Pop-Up members are invited to participate in this inspiring opportunity. This inaugural prize celebrates creativity, community, and the spirit of connection through art.

The event offers a platform for artists from diverse backgrounds to showcase their talents, engage with the community, and contribute to a shared vision of art that uplifts and inspires. Whether your medium is painting, sculpture, photography, or mixed media, this is your chance to shine.

Exhibition Open (including the online gallery): Friday 29 November 2024 through to Wednesday 29 January 2025

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Angels In Our Town Exhibition and Art Prize, showcasing the incredible talents of artists from diverse backgrounds and regions across our local area.

As part of this exciting event, we have introduced the People’s Choice Award, where visitors to the tasting rooms with every wine tasting or purchase can vote for their favourite piece. The artwork with the most votes by 12 pm on January 28, 2025, will be awarded the prestigious People’s Choice Award along with a $500 prize.

We invite you to explore the stunning artworks on display and cast your vote for your favourite piece. Your participation not only supports talented artists but also plays a crucial role in determining the winner of the People’s Choice Award.

Prizes

  • Major prize $2500
  • People’s Choice Award $500

Delivery and Collection

  • Entrants must arrange for delivery and collection of works at the specified times.
  • Delivery: You may deliver your artworks on Wednesday 27 November between 10am and 4pm.
  • Collection: You must collect your work or organise pick-up for Thursday, 30 January 9.30am – 10.30am.
  • All exhibitors will be responsible for the transport of their work to and from the Centennial Vineyards grounds. Exhibitors are responsible for all costs associated with manufacture, freight, installation, and insurance of their own works.
  • Exhibiting artists will be responsible for the installation and dismantling of their sculptures if special installation requirements are involved and bring plinths if your works require one.

  • All packaging materials must be removed from the gallery on delivery of the works.

Entry Fee

  • $30 per artwork (including GST), non-refundable. Entry fee must be paid at time of entry.
