Coming from a career in puppetry and a life of animating the inanimate, I’ve come to see all things as having an inherent story and point of view. Working as a puppet fabricator I have always chosen the puppet’s style and materials to fit the narrative. And thus my choice of sculptural subjects and materials change according to the narrative of the subject I am exploring including carved wood, coloured pencils, resin, corrugated plastic, fabric and paper. My work is often playful and always theatrical.
