Roxanne Lillis, of Lillidowne Studio, creates oil paintings inspired by the regenerating bushland around her. Her work reflects both trauma and renewal after losing everything in a bushfire, layering oil paints and glazes to capture resilience and transformation. With an abstract expressionist style, her paintings are both whimsical and solemn, inviting diverse interpretations.
Roxanne studied at the Julian Ashton Art School before earning a Bachelor of Creative Arts and a Master of Art (Honours with Excellence) from UNSW Art & Design. She has exhibited widely across Australia, receiving numerous awards, including recognition from Del Kathryn Barton for her dynamic and expressive work.
