Exhibiting In the Southern Highlands Arts Trail

My artistic journey began with a foundation course at Mary White School of Art in Edgecliff from 1963-65, where I was fortunate to learn from John Olsen, Robert Klippel, and Peter Travis. In 1965, I travelled to Athens, Greece, where I explored the tempera technique at the School of SarafĂanos and gained experience in ceramic sculpture with Stavros, and bronze casting with Aristotle Solounos. This period, deeply inspired by the culture and history of Athens and Piraeus, profoundly shaped my artistic perspective. After returning to Sydney in 1979, I continued my studio practice with Stephen Wilson. My commitment to art further solidified in 1999 when I pursued an Advanced Diploma and Certificate IV in Ceramics at TAFE Southern Highlands. Over the years, I’ve actively participated in local mixed exhibitions in the Highlands and shared my work in a special exhibition with fellow students after a painting trip to Italy in 2002. My work reflects a lifelong dedication to exploring diverse mediums and techniques, often drawing on my experiences and classical influences.
