My artworks are inspired by my immediate world. Oil paints, glazes and mixed media are applied in layers attempting to capture not only the recovery, but the history of trauma. This has become essential in my mode of existence since the devastation of losing everything in a bushfire; seeping into my heart and rationale. The paintings and sculptures are simultaneously philosophical and literal. My intention is to create ambiguous organic forms. The ambiguity opens diverse interpretations. Whimsical yet solemn
