I am interested in observing the inner landscape of my life’s journey. It is where a language is created which informs my responses to place culture and identity. Exploring the meaning of sacredness forms a connection to the world around me. It expands my own sense of spirituality and a deepening sense of compassion. Throughout my imagery I assemble narratives that are imbued with symbolic meaning that interpreted my sense of relationship to the world. The external world oscillates between the internal world and together a common language speaks. Slavica has been exhibiting for rover 30 years in both solo and group shows; winner of the Swan hill Drawing Art Prize 2015, Finalist in the Jacaranda Drawing Prize and a finalist in the Blake Prize (2011/2013) and was Nominated by Dr Sasha Grishin for the Sovereign Art Prize Hong Kong. Her work has been involved in several art exchange projects including “ Project Belgium De Ababye Brussels Belgium , the Vario print exchange exhibiting in Wales, Hawaii and various touring exhibitions
