Toni Warburton’s ceramic vases, narrative sculptures and cups arise from perceptual jolts into the tantalizing realm of the uncanny and the desire to sustain strangeness as a form of noticing. They are made in a curious reverie of dynamic assemblage, buoyed by the inventive form language of ceramic vessels, botanical, geological and architectural structures and her delight in the tactile, mimetic properties of clay and glazes.
